It'sfinally here!

Today marks the launch of Athens Destination Specialist Program (ADSP), a unique training course aimed at travel industry stakeholders and the international media/blogging community.

Presented at TBEX Europe, held in Athens from October 23-25, ADSP is a first-of-its-kind-in- Greece interactive online training and marketing platform with customized content that is designed to help travel industry professionals, professional conference organisers (PCO’s) and media/bloggers sell and promote Athens to their clients and audiences.

Nowhere is specialization more important than in the travel industry. Why?

In an age where consumers can navigate the globe with their fingertips, there is free access to a massive sea of information. The challenge for travel agents and media/bloggers is not only to stay ahead of their always-connected, internet-savvy, app-happy clients, but to act as a “filter”.

Travellers need trusted advisors to guide them through this overwhelming sea of information and sales pitches. Information is easy to find, genuine insider advice is not.

So, the solution is simple: by specializing and honing in on the finer details of any given destination, in the role of a consultant you can achieve the key goal of creating the differentiated kinds of experiences your customers/audience expect.

ADSP in a nutshell

It comprises of 6 modules: ADSP Overview & Athens Introduction, Travel Essentials, Athens Experiences, Travel Itineraries, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions), Media/Bloggers.

Participants complete interactive quiz questions during the course to check their progress and ultimately achieve certification as an Athens Destination Specialist.

Each module is designed to last around 20 minutes per module, although participants can learn at their own pace. The online learning environment allows you complete flexibility throughout the course.

You just need to complete the four core training modules plus the extra optional MICE module. To pass you must gain 80% or more.

The certification period is 12 months.
